Family Field Trips

Last year we started a goal to find really cool things to do nearby our house. We have found that there is a lot available really close to home. We don't know the names of all of the places, but we know how to get there. This past weekend we hit the ponds just off Legacy Highway in Centerville.
It was a beautiful day and we didn't want to waste it.

We saw a lot of birds (even two bald eagles - both on the drive home from the pond), a huge dead fish and tons of animal tracks. Ethan is checking those out below.

Most of the tracks were from raccoons and pelicans.

We also checked out the new lambs at the little farm just up the street from us.

Ugh! I knew I'd get it wrong! [and that Jeff is not a reliable source!]. Corrected on the blog!

Oh, and Aubs should know she automatically has every naming right. She's so good at it, so why not! :) I can't wait to see what she pulls out if my next kid happens to be a girl.

Good seeing you guys last week. It's been awhile.
